Chairman of Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan visited and worked in Germany Posted by admin, July 01,2015

Implementation of the program of foreign affairs of Central Committee Vietnam Fatherland Front (CCVFF) in 2015, from 28-6 to 3-7, Politburo member, the Chairman of (CCVFF)   –Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan has headed a superior delegation of (CCVFF)   in the visit to the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Italy .  Besides the meeting also welcomed representatives from the Central Economic Committee and the Union of cooperatives Vietnam, etc.

28/6 pm (German time), after landed at Frankfurt airport, Chairman and members of the delegation attended the Vietnamese - 40 years of integration and development in Germany in Berlin. Festivals held by Dong Xuan trade center in collaboration with the Vietnam Business Association in the Federal Republic of Germany  under the support of the Embassy of Vietnam in Germany.

The festival welcomed the presenting of Ms Gesine Lotzsch, senator, chairman of the Budget Committee of the German Parliament, Ambassador of Vietnam in Germany- Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh, Parliamentarian of Berlin and representatives of Vietnamese business, public organizations in Germany. Attending this festival also had more than 10 thousand Vietnamese living, studying and working in various states of Germany.

Presenting for the Government and Vietnamese, the chairman deeply expressed his gratitude to German and their Government have created favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Germany studying, living and business. Besides he also encouraged our fellow citizens are working , living in Germany always unite, preserve national cultural identity as well as respect and well observed  laws of the host country.


Chairman Nguyen Thien Nhan gave speech in Vietnamese within 40 years of integration and development in Germany.

After attending the opening ceremony, in the meeting with numerous associations, businesses and organizations of Vietnamese in Germany, Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan showed the joy about the successes as well as the developments of Vietnam community in Germany for over the past 40 years, affirmed Vietnam and Germany have the same characteristics as two countries were divided then united, so all Vietnamese and Germany highly appreciate the value of unity. In addition, Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan suggested that all of Vietnamese union in Germany should be close-knit to build a stronger community.

Emphasizing in the role of culture in development, Chairman Nguyen Thien Nhan suggested that Vietnamese unions and businesses in Germany should actively develop and implement programs to preserve and promote our cultural identity in the community. Besides we should plan to teach Vietnamese for children in second, third generations, organize trips to homeland for them and choose a significant date to annually organize a Friendship Culture Day between Vietnam-Germany aimed to strengthen friendship, solidarity and cooperation between two nations as a strategic partner.

Moreover, South China Sea issue was also rapidly announced in the meeting. Chairman Nguyen Thien Nhan recommended the Vietnam Embassy, ​​organizations, associations and enterprises in Germany should take advantage of every opportunity, forum to mobilize and get the support of German and their government in our righteous struggle to protect the legal sovereignty of Vietnam in the South China Sea.

In the same day, the chairman and delegation paid a visit with the leaders, staff and their families of Vietnam Embassy in Germany. As announcement of Ambassador Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh, Vietnam community in Germany is over 125 thousand people, especially 20 thousand people in Berlin. In recent years, the Embassy has many important activities to promote investment projects such as Hai Dang Project, Vietnam-Germany University or Vietnam - German House., etc. In the recent three years, the Embassy has organized summer camp for Vietnam Student Association in the European countries to attend cultural events and many other arts. 

Speaking at the meeting, the chairman extremely welcomed the initiative in summer camp for Vietnamese pupil, students and activities in connecting community, culture, art, investment promotion of the Embassy of Vietnam for the Vietnamese community in Germany and German businessmen.

The chairman suggested the Embassy should urgently explore the barriers and limitations that the Germans are afraid to invest business in Vietnam. Therefore, having recommendations to the relevant authorities quickly removed; promote the strengths of Vietnam to attract investment from the Government and the German business.

In one hand, the chairman announced strengths that could make a breakthrough development for Vietnam when we are in consideration to join TPP. On the other hand, he discussed about the progress of organizing Congress meeting at all levels in recent years and the good results from the Local Congress meetings. Moreover, he strongly suggested the Embassy should persuade, propagandize to politicians, Germany and their government to understand the situation as well as voice support for our nation in the South China Sea , requested the countries concerned to resolve this issue in the path of peace, on the basis of international laws, especially the Convention of United Nations  on  Sea Laws in 1982. All of that are the useful contribution in the building full of peace and friendship among nations in all over the world.
